I've been using the Markup app for several months now and I love it so much. I had been using Pattern Keeper almost since I got back into cross stitching in 2020. It's still a good app but for my stitching, I like Markup so much better. Some of the things I'm going to say I love about Markup may even be available on Pattern Keeper and I just never fully learned to use it. I will say that when I ...
Long Dog
I could measure (or try to measure) both dogs and see how long they are but, to me, Cooper looks SO much longer than Oscar. It may be because Oscar is quite a bit wider than Oscar. (Don't tell Oscar I said that!) but sometimes, I look at Cooper and have to do a double take to see if he's really as long as he looks. Even though he's just nine months old, he's definitely into the terrible two ...
Tuesday Change of Plans
We get our teeth cleaned and x-rays from the local hygienist school. Since it's a teaching school, the appointments begin at 8:30 and end about 3:30 with 1-1/2 hours for lunch. Today Vince had his appointment. I had almost a whole day to myself. I had a stitchy zoom meet up that was going to be about 1-1/2 hours and then I planned to sit and stitch and watch flosstube and maybe a chick flick or ...
Sunday . . This & That!
After lunch I went out and worked in the greenhouse. I had planted Black Krim tomato and Salvatore tomato seeds. I've also planted a couple more slicing/eating tomatoes and one other paste tomato. Black Krim is an eating tomato and Salvatore is a paste tomato. Juliet is the other paste tomato I'm growing this year. It is also a great salad tomato, my favorite for pizza sauce and salsa. I ended up ...
Sleepy Dogs
I know there are a lot of dog posts on here lately but they are a huge part of my life and, other than an hour or so in the garden, a bit of cooking, these days my time is mostly spent with the dogs and Boots. Yesterday was the "sit and stitch" day at the local-ish cross stitching shop. I like the ladies who attend these sessions. Yesterday, which was only my second time to go, there were three ...
Chokecherries and Lilacs
We planted four or five chokecherries either in late 2021 or early 2022 and this is the first year they've bloomed. I'm so happy to see them blooming. If they produce enough "cherries", I'll make chokecherry jam. We have three lilacs that we planted and they're small but look like they will have lots of blooms. If so, I will make lilac jelly. I hope the little trees and shrubs keep me ...
