Last night I was so sure I was going to finish Love is the Key but I didn’t.
I have four or five little flowers in the border to finish, the center of the white flowers to stitch (left of the girl’s legs), the 8, 9 and 0 to the right of the boy bunny’s head and a heart just below those numbers, and outline the two little red flowers on the big green/red flower on the right and lastly, rip out those ghostly white letters I, J, K, L, M and R and restitch those in a color that shows up. I think that’s it. Three or four hours probably is all I’ll need but today I have two places I have to go and a lot of cooking to get started.
Today I plan to chop celery and onions for the dressing, grate all the cheese for the mac & cheese, make the cherry cranberry salad and make the pie crust so it can be cold when I roll it out tomorrow evening. I’ll also set the table and set up all the little “stations” with the ingredients I need for each dish. Tonight I’ll put the turkey on to brine. I’m going to be gone most of Wednesday but when I get home, I’ll make a pumpkin pie, make the rolls that need to be in the fridge overnight, rinse off the turkey and get it dry, season it, put it back in the fridge. Thursday, I’ll shape the rolls, and try to find a warm place for them to rise, put the turkey in the roaster, make the sweet potato casserole, make the dressing, make the mac & cheese . . I think that’s it. Nicole is bringing a casserole and a cake. I’ll make tea and a pitcher of lemonade. Yep, pretty sure that’s it. Anything I’m forgetting?

What about deviled eggs? My late husband loved them with his Thanksgiving meal.
