Last night I finished Mighty Acorn. I started it on May 1, finished on May 31. This may be the first time ever that I started something and worked on it without stopping til it was done. I liked doing that!
I’m so pleased with how this turned out.
As I’ve mentioned already, I changed the house color to a grayish lavender because that was the color of the house we had when Chad was born.
If you see anything not stitched, please let me know. I’ll keep looking at it and make sure I’ve done everything that needs to be done before framing it.
Last night I started looking at frames and Addie was helping me choose. I’m kinda leaning towards this one:
I need to look some more before deciding on a frame.

Love it!

Hmmm. It is fun for me to play what’s different on your finished unframed pieces. However, I feel a little bad pointing out missing things. The section above the words is missing a lot of flowers, some half flowers and a few leaves here and there – particularly top left corner. The bottom is just the leaves under the g in grow. The bottom right flower is different but that feels like a deliberate choice. Maybe all these were deliberate stitcher’s prerogative and if so, I won’t say another word. 🙂

Those were all deliberately left off. I felt it was a little cluttered. I had planned to leave those off I almost left the squirrel off the top of the chimney but decided to include him.

..I’m glad you kept the top squirrel. I love that tail!
Wow, did it all in one month! How did it feel to do one single project until done? Will you go back to WIPGO (or whatever that bingo card was called)?

Thanks! As far as WIPGO – maybe not. June is overloaded with projects already. I really enjoyed working on one project start to finish. We’ll see.

I really like this frame. Wow – Can’t believe you got it done in a month. I take forever.

You will see that Vince talked me out of that frame. He thought plain was better. 🙁

I like these colors. The light and dark in the wood will make this look great.

Love your finish! I love how you have personalized it! Watching you and Denise stitch this up had me itching to get this chart but I managed to resist…lol. I started Seeking Refuge and Ladies Who Lunch in May and I got a lot done on Seeking Refuge but not so much on Ladies Who Lunch. My WIPGO for June are two Owl Forest projects, one I started earlier in the year and the other will be a new start. I may change up the one I haven’t started and keep Ladies Who Lunch. And then I still have Blessed to finish and the new SAL but will see how I feel. Unfortunately covid hit our household starting with my husband. Even though I’ve had multiple negative tests, including a Pcr test I’m pretty sure I actually have it. So rest and plenty of otc meds will get me through it. Looking forward to doing the SAL as it’s my first foray with 40ct!

Oh, goodness! I sure hope y’all recover quickly. It does seam to be making a comeback. I love Seeking Refuge – have the chart but no idea when I’ll stitch it. I’m not sure about Ladies Who Lunch. I need to go check it out.
Good luck with the 40 count. I started on 28 and then went to 36. I remember when I did my first 40 count thinking it was amazingly difficult but it no longer is so even if it seems hard at first, don’t give up.
