This isn’t a good picture but I wasn’t at a spot where I could spread this sweater out and I can’t get a decent picture of the yarn but the yarn is gorgeous! It’s llama/silk from a friend’s llama and it is so soft! She did not have it “de-haired” and at first, the hair bothered me but after knitting with it a while, I love the character/dimension the hair adds. The pattern is Vitamin D and except that it’s a fairly fine (sport) weight yarn on small needles (3.5 mm) and it’s taking forever to knit, I love this project. My friend will get this one back and I want to make a Vitamin D for myself.

Looks like a pretty pattern. Those eyelet increases are interesting. I’ve knit with alpaca yarn which is hairy, too, and it’s really nice and soft but probably not the best for stitch definition. Is it the same with the llama yarn? Did she spin it herself?

I do like a cascade front, and those pindots are cute. It looks like lots of extra knitting to do on that small scale, though. Good thing you’re liking it.

Judy I am looking forward to seeing your Vitamin D. I started knitting that one a couple of years ago, but when I was nearly done, I realized that the yarn wasn’t light and drapey enough so the front part wasn’t looking right. I put it away after that. I thought I would try it again one day with better yarn. So I would love to see how yours turns out and perhaps I will try knitting it again. Meanwhile I have 2 projects going.
