I don’t believe these things are any kind of divine signs but I think it’s weird in a funny way when they happen.
When I was making my pumpkin pie yesterday, this picture popped up on my FB memories reminder from four years ago. I made this pie the first Thanksgiving we were here. We had not moved in full time yet. I came when the movers made the first load in October and stayed to get things put away. Vince came for Thanksgiving. We had Nicole’s parents over for Thanksgiving dinner.
This was the pie that I had just stuck in the oven and sat down for a break and looked at my phone. This is the first time I had added the turkey to the pumpkin pie since 2020. I knew I had done it before but didn’t remember when . . now I know. Thanks Facebook! 🙂
My oven has a display screen (I’m sure that’s not the technical name for it) and it show all kinds of info but when something is cooking and there’s nothing it thinks I need to know, it will have pictures. While the pie was in the oven, this popped up on the oven screen.
I told Vince I think the oven is mocking my lopsided turkey on the pumpkin pie. Look at him . . he’s even sitting on top of a pumpkin!
Today, when the over timer goes off, instead of some weird jingle it plays, it will gobble. The first year it did that, I could not figure out where the gobbling was coming from and then I realized it was the oven timer. I had hoped it would play Jingle Bells or Santa Got Run Over by a Reindeer for Christmas but so far, it has not! 🙂

Love your turkey pie! and a gobbling oven, what could be better. I’d be setting the timer all day even if I didn’t need it to hear it gobble at me! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
