Fit for a Hero Basic Info

Fit for a Hero will begin on Monday, November 25.  This one will be done the same as our other quilt alongs.  Instructions will be posted Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

My thinking is that we will take if fairly slow . . no rushing due to the holidays, shopping, finishing up gift projects, etc. but I would like for us to have it wrapped up in time to be putting the finishing touches on this during New Year’s Day Sit and Sew for QOV.  For those buying fabric, if you’re doing the stash reports, you buy the fabric  in 2013 and then you finish up this top on January 1 so you can count all the yardage as  used on the very first day of January – that’s right at 9 yards!  That’s a very good start to a great year of stashbusting.

This project has no half square or quarter square triangles. If you follow the pressing instructions, your seams should all butt together and make for near perfect connections. Be very sure you are making accurate 1/4″ seams and that your cutting is precise.

No instructions will be posted on Christmas Day! That’s a Wednesday and we will simply skip that day and the next instructions will be posted on Friday.
