Oscar has turned into a picky eater. I think he likes variety. A few months ago, he wanted Cooper's puppy food and Cooper was wanting Oscar's food. I figured Oscar was getting tired of the same food every day so I bought a different food for him and have been mixing them. At first, he wanted the new food but now he seems to not want either one of them. He will pick out what he doesn't want and ...
The Garden
Our plan had been to put posts in concrete and hang the cattle panels on those. I would use them for tomatoes, climbing squash, pumpkins, loofah, grapevines, etc. Digging a hole here is torture because it's almost solid rock about 4" below the grass. I feel bad for Vince having to dig and do all that work for my garden hobby. Yesterday he moved the cattle panels from where they had been - just ...
A Good Sport
Poor Oscar. He can be so grumpy but he can also be so kind to Cooper. I tell Cooper every day that he's lucky we're never getting a new puppy (never say never, right?) because he deserves payback for how he treats Oscar. Last night while I was doing a couple of things on the computer, Cooper was sleeping mostly on top of Oscar. I would never have thought Oscar would let that happen. Part ...
A Good Day of Unpacking
Vince brought home a pickup load of "stuff" from the storage building yesterday morning. He said two of the boxes were mine and one was full of brown fabric. It was . . a big box full of brown quilting fabric. I got that unpacked and on the shelf in the sewing room. The next box had some treasures! I don't even know when I bought these or where I bought them or why I bought them. I think I ...
The New Fridge
It arrived yesterday. It seems that we cannot have an appliance delivery without issues. You remember the dishwasher story. When we got a new fridge for downstairs, the delivery guys banged it into a piece of angle iron that was clearly not in their way and then they hit the freezer with the fridge and dented it so the fairly new freezer was damaged and the new fridge was dented. No big deal . . ...
The Microgreens
It's been four days since I planted the microgreens. I wrote about it in this post. They're doing great! I count on having most microgreens ready to harvest starting about 7 days after planting. There are some that take a bit longer and some that take a lot longer. The basil takes a good bit longer and the Swiss chard is a BIG seed and they are just now starting to sprout. I can't tell if ...
