I hope you all have a great Christmas and get to spend some wonderful time with family and friends. It’s just the two of us, along with Boots, Oscar and Cooper this year and I can’t say I’m too excited about that. Chad is working out of town and it just didn’t work out for them to get back here for Christmas. I told him . . that’s fine. We’ll celebrate when you get back. That sounded much better three weeks ago when I said it than it does today.
Our plan is to grill steaks, bake sweet potatoes, and have a salad. Not a very exciting Christmas Day meal but the good news is that I should get lots of stitching done. I think I will finish For the Love of Nature today. Right . . you’ve heard that before! 🙂

Yes! It was a simple fix – so simple that the a/c guy didn’t even charge us for it.

Merry Christmas, Judy. May you and Vince have a great day along with your furry family. I too, am on my own and will be grilling a steak. Take care and wishing you a New Year filled with many hours of stitching.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, whenever it is.
Has Chad been to west NC since Helene? There are so many helpers still there and they will need help for years. I am so thankful for each of them.

No. He’s actually somewhere else. He should be home Tuesday night and, short of something weird happening, he should be home for a while.

We were able to spend Christmas with family in Tulsa this year. It felt odd in years past when we were home alone. Many, many years we celebrated Christmas on different days, due to our work schedules. Enjoy your second Christmas dinner, whenever it happens.
I hope it was a fun day for you, after all.

Yes, it wasn’t how I had hoped to spend Christmas but I’ll get to see them soon enough. You’re right . . it is odd to have Christmas Day come and go and not see anyone else.
