They say it’s playing but they spend so much time being so rough with each other, it doesn’t look like fun to me but . . I’m not a dachshund! Their favorite thing to do is to go outside and chase a ball. It’s finally gotten to . . not “cool” but at least not so hot in the evenings that I don’t have to worry about them getting overheated. I can go out and throw the ball and let them chase it and after about 10 minutes, both of them are dragging and ready to go inside, get water and crash for 2 or 3 hours.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t get a picture of the dogs without my chunky thigh in the photo but they are as snug as they can get . . and that’s how they sleep any time they’re sleeping.
But the minute they wake up, they’re at it again . . playing so rough that I have to walk away because I don’t like seeing teeth showing, snarling and growling but that’s what they do.

It’s so nice that they can be so loving with each other while they’re snoozing. So many animals really don’t want to be up close and personal and it’s so nice to see pictures of those that do.

-I know somebody who posted pictures of her dogs “playing” “bitey face”.(It looked like they were trying to bite each other’s teeth). I’m with you…that’s play? Do you suppose it’s because they’re boy dogs?

I have no idea but that’s possible.

I know it’s hard to watch but I assume there’s nary a scratch on either one so they are bad boys for playing so hard, and upsetting Mommy. But so dear when they sleep like that!!

For the most part, there are no injuries and they keep going back for more so who am I to intervene? 🙂
