Martha Walmsley, 1847 is a limited edition sampler, exclusive to Hobby House Needleworks. The other day a friend sent me the link to the chart and she had ordered it. I looked at the chart and, while it’s beautiful, I decided it was more “confetti-ish” stitching than I like to stitch so I didn’t order it. I kept thinking about it. Hand Across the Sea samplers are so great. They great to have – just to read the history and look at the pictures. They’re all almost like a little art book, but I resisted ordering it.
Then I saw Victoria Clayton’s packet for Martha Walmsley, 1847 and I was hooked. I ordered the floss packet and ordered the chart. The floss packet arrived today and now I’m really excited for this chart to arrive.
Aren’t those colors gorgeous?

I looked up that chart and it’s a beauty! Love the silk floss, too!

That is a gorgeous chart! I was really tempted but stopped myself from ordering it. I haven’t been able to do much cross stitching in awhile because of dry eye issues. Hoping to get back to it with experimentation. I was on track to get the Three Things Sampler done by the end of the year but not sure now. But, I did get back to quilting so not all is lost. 🙂

Gorgeous colours! I’m thinking of getting this pattern too. May I ask where you got your box from to hold the Vikki Clayton silks? They fit perfectly.
