The current cross stitching project is Rejoice Evermore by Brenda Gervais/With Thy Needle & Thread.
I’m enjoying stitching this one. The frame of the outer border is stitched all the way around. I have to go back and add all the flowers in the border but I wanted to get the outline of it stitched so I can stitch other parts of this chart, then work on the border and the easy areas when I’m visiting or watching something that requires a little bit of thinking.
I’m using Victoria Clayton/Hand Dyed Fiber’s silk packet for this chart. I love stitching with her silks!
My plan for today is to stitch the goldish brown plain x-stitch row across the top, then down a few stitches and I can then stitch the next section which has some big tulip looking flowers, as well as some star shaped flowers.
It may rain here today and if it does, that will give me a good excuse to stay inside and stitch.

Looking great! You are really coming along! I ended up taking out the stitching I had done on New Year’s Eve (not really all that much). I had made some substitutions and when I pulled it out again I decided I didn’t like them…lol Found the called for floss on 123 so I ordered and it should arrive today. In the meantime I started Home Sweet Home, a small stitch SAL at Jo’s Country Junction and finished it last night! This morning I found the chart for the one thread a day stitch from way back (the name escapes me at the moment) and picked it up again. I took it out of the frame as I’ve gotten used to the in hand method. Now I’m not so sure I want to put it down…lol

It’s always so nice to get interested in an older project again. Nice to finish a small project too! You’re going to start Rejoice Evermore today?

I wanted to try doing the border all the way around and made it about 6″ across the top before I messed up. I just can’t keep my place for very long doing something like a border. Sad, but true!

Sometimes it’s harder for me too but I just can’t seem to get going on the middle unless that outside edge is done. What matters is that we all do what works for us and no one should feel like they have to do it one way or the other. It’s always nice to try a different technique but it’s best to do what works for you.
