Joplin has a conservation/education area called Wildcat Glades. They host many educational events, as well as the native plant sale twice a year. Their area is planted totally in native plants that attract pollinators. Of course they do a lot more to protect native habitat and grounds but it’s the plants I love.
Today we went out there for the Fall Native Plant Sale. We’re able to pre-order from one of the vendors and they bring everything we ordered. As we walked around the grounds with one of the guides, we kept finding more plants we wanted so we left with a car full of plants.
We ended up getting several additional pots after this photo was taken. The more we walked, the more we wanted but we probably have more than we can plant for now. It all should be planted within the next month but I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
