We have been so busy today. We spent hours working in the garage. Our fault because we’re the ones who accumulated all this stuff.
We’re having problems with getting the stove delivered . . of course! When we bought it Monday or Tuesday, it was sitting there, on the floor, in a box. The top was open so we could look at it but the whole box was intact otherwise. The next day I had a missed call from Lowe’s but no voice mail, which I thought was weird. The stove is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Just before noon today, the delivery people called and said they couldn’t deliver it tomorrow because it hasn’t arrived yet. Huh? It was there when we bought it and the salesman said he was putting our name on it and taking it to the back. The delivery guy said he would check into it and call me back.
We waited a couple of hours and Vince called Lowe’s. A guy in the appliance department said something like “I know there’s a big pow wow going on about it now but no one has told me anything.” Well, that was helpful .. not!
About 4, the delivery guy called me back and said they found the stove. It was not in the box. He can’t deliver anything not in a box. He thinks he can put it in some kind of box. Then I get a recorded call that the stove will be delivered between 11 am and 3 pm tomorrow. We’ll see. At least the garage got cleaned out.
Then . . we had an Azure Standard order to pick up today. I think this was my fourth or fifth order and the others have gone well. This one . . no . . not good at all. First, our email said we should pick up our stuff Monday at 11:30. We got there at 11:15 as requested. We waited and waited and the coordinator started trying to call the driver about 11:55. No answer. About 12:15, she got in touch with Azure and they said it was a clerical error and our real pickup was Thursday at 11:30. I had a doctor’s appointment in Neosho at 10 on Thursday so I rescheduled that. Then later in the day, we got an email that said “Sorry, the pickup is Thursday at 2:30.” Good grief. I could have kept my doctor’s appointment.
Today we got there and three of the 12 items I ordered were either picked up by someone else or not shipped. We were there right on time but there were a lot of people and some are so quick to grab their stuff, they’re apparently picking up items that have someone else’s name on them. Azure has already issued me a credit but it’s frustrating.
Thankfully, I knew I was going to be tired and had seasoned a chicken yesterday and stuck it in the oven before we left today. I also cleaned and cut up broccoli, carrots and cauliflower, stuck it in the steamer and turned it on when we walked in the house
I did get 23 pounds of frozen cherries, which actually were no longer frozen by the time I got them home, even though we had them in a cooler. I divided those up into 1 pound packages, vacuum sealed them and froze them.
Then, I made cookies for the milk man tomorrow.
Now, I’ll go out and water some of the plants that are in bags . . then I’ll probably come in and collapse! 🙂

That’s quite a day!
Too bad about the Azure mess. I guess you wouldn’t have been back if that had been your first experience!

Definitely. We’ll see how it goes next time. Yesterday some people ended up with other people’s stuff and they had to drive somewhere to meet them to get it. After driving 15 or so miles each way twice because of the delivery mixup and then if I had to drive back a third time to pick up something that someone else picked up, with my time and the cost of gas, it would simply not be worth it.
