Vince gets really frustrated with the My Pillow commercials. He says Mike sends him over the edge but Vince lives on the edge so it doesn’t always take much to send him over! 🙂
Every time a My Pillow commercial comes on, and it’s ALL the time, he grumbles. Everywhere we go, they seem to be selling My Pillows and Vince grumbles. The other day at The Pallet Store, there were several My Pillows and I had to be sure Vince saw them.
Probably five years ago or more, I ordered a couple of them and I loved them. Vince couldn’t believe I ordered them and now, guess who’s using both of the My Pillows.
Yesterday Vince asked me .. “Do we have better towels? I don’t like the towels I’ve been using.” Honestly, to me a towel is a towel and I don’t have a lot of expectations . . just so it’s halfway thick and absorbent. I know we do have some better towels but I’m not sure if we’ve found them yet. I told him . . “I’m sure we have better towels somewhere but if you aren’t happy with what you’re using, I can buy more.
Now that I think about it, I bought some new towels when I first got here. I ordered them and they are huge – way too big for me because they were dragging the floor as I was trying to dry off so I probably did stick them somewhere since I didn’t like using them but Vince will probably love them.
Anyway, he said “What about the My Pillow guy? He sells towels!” What? Vince wants to order something from the My Pillow guy!! I did – I ordered two sets. Each set comes with two towels, two hand towels and two wash cloths. I need to go upstairs right now and see if I can find those towels I bought when I first got here.

Could they be twins in another life??? Mike was complaining about towels the other day–it’s a towel for goodness sakes!! And I pay good money for pillows–Casper pillows–Mike will sleep on any old pillow because he is to frugal to pay good money for his pillow!!

we (he) went thru probably three pillows a year. it would be fine for awhile and after the honeymoon period, his neck would ache again. we too saw the ads, he wondered about the pillows, and i found one in a store for a great sale price. he hasn’t used anything else in probably 6 years now and most nites as he settles in says “i love my my pillow!” i have 2 now that i alternate and wash them every three months plus fluff them at the beginning of the month. they aren’t available in stores anymore, so just two weeks ago i ordered two more to have on hand because he would be miserable without them. he loves them so much that he bought me one, but i didn’t care for it – their guarantee allowed it for me to try other other styles and sizes, but i often sleep with no pillow so i couldn’t find one i liked and gave up. i’m just happy that he’s happy and sleeps so well now.

My reaction to the My Pillow guy is similar to Vince – I find the guy so annoying! We have another more local company that advertises here that has a spokesperson with a very “grating” voice. Dave uses a My Pillow but I hate it – too lumpy!

My friend Karla is a massage therapist and she told me the best pillow is to roll up a towel and put it under your neck when you sleep. She says that is the best thing we can do if we have neck or back problems.

Oh my gosh! I has fallen a few years ago and hit the right back side of my head. It injured the nerve. I had to sleep sitting upright for 6 months and found rolling a towel and putting it aroun the back and sides of my neck kept my head from falling to the side when I fell asleep. After the nerve healed enough that I could lay down, I couldn’t find a pillow that was comfortable and continued using a towel until this day. I thought that I was just unusual. It is comforting yo know that I actually stubbled into a recommended technique. ??

I don’t think I’ve seen a MyPillow ad since his politics became apparent, and I used to see them all the time!
judy.blog@gmail.com says
They’re still on every channel we watch. Maybe they only play them in certain areas.

..I’m sure that’s it, and southern California is not one of them!

I only see the my pillow ads on one station we watch. Most don’t run his ads anymore. You will have to let us know it the towels are any good. We usually buy new towels every 5 years are so. Probably cause when I was growing up we had such thread bare towels it took more than one to get dry. Now I figure I can buy new towels. I think I might stock up though cause prices around here are going thru the roof.
My husband would love the pallet store. He would be there every week.

Hi Judy, I have a My Pillow and I just love it, my husband does not care for it. I bought him the slippers and he just love them, always say I love my slippers. So I bought a pair for myself and I just love them too. We also bought the mattress topper and really like it. You will have to let us know how you like the towels. Love reading your blog everyday.

Thanks! I’ve wondered about the slippers. I need to get those for sure before winter. I will post about the towels. They’ve shipped already so they should be here soon.

i’d be interested in some particulars on those slippers… are they good for short time outdoor stints? like walking to the mailbox, the shop?
judy.blog@gmail.com says
If you go to the website, you can read about them. At least some of them are for indoor/outdoor wearing.

I have the My Pillow slippers and love them. You could wear them all day inside and out. The soles are substantial but comfortable.

I have a My Pillow and love it. I especially like that I can throw it in the washer and dryer and it comes out just like brand new. Thanks to everyone for the comments on his other products; I’ve been wondering if the towels and slippers were as good as advertised.

Karla is great! And yes, it is a technique they use to help with neck problems. You were smarter than you knew! Glad to know it works for you.
