There are five projects that have been getting or will be getting my attention.
Noel Sampler:
I’ve been working on this since the first of April, though I gave up on the first one and started over on about April 3. I mentioned a day or so ago that I could have kept working on this one til it was done except for other commitments. On one hand, I love working on a project start to finish because I dread having to put one away and get another out but on the other hand, I love starting new projects.
Here’s how far I got with Noel Sampler:
I got this much done in 13 days and that’s pretty good considering the attention Oscar gets and I didn’t stitch at all last Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday because I was in Louisiana and didn’t want to haul a magnifying lamp down there.
I changed the white for the snow to a peachy white but it still doesn’t show up very well. That’s what I’m sticking with though.
This one is now put back in its project bag til it comes up again on WIPGO.
A Saviour’s Praise:
Jo and I had planned to start this one on Good Friday and I did start it.
This is part of the right side border. My plan is to work on this one through Monday or Tuesday in hopes of getting the outer border frame stitched. Then I can trim down the fabric and I’ll put this one away and go on to the next one.
Thy Love Divine:
I had hoped to have this one finished for our anniversary last year and obviously didn’t so maybe I’ll have it finished before August of this year.
This is my second WIPGO project for April. I need to get 20 hours of stitching done on it. I’m thinking I’ll work on finishing the outer border. The rice stitching in the bottom area takes a while and is boring. I doubt the border will take me 20 hours and if it doesn’t, I’ll start back on the rice stitches. I’m hoping to have my 20 hours done by April 24 and that will give me another week to work on A Saviour’s Praise.
The Mighty Acorn:
That is my scheduled start for Chad’s birthday in December but there’s a stitch along starting on May 1 so I’m going to start it early. It isn’t really an extra start – I’m just starting it earlier than I had planned.
Thirza Priscilla Dawes 1870:
This is another stitch along starting May 1. I’m excited about all those motifs. I may not get very far with it or be able to work on it much but I think it will be fun.
In addition to those listed above, there will be two new WIPGO projects that will each get 20 hours for the month of May. It will be interesting to see how much I get done on all these projects.

I found the rest of the threads and linen for The Mighty Acorn at Brick City Stitchers last week so I am excited to start that one. I also have been working on The New Years sampler that we started around Christmas time. So much left to do on it but it is fun stitching those little motifs.

Great!

I have to laugh at myself. I think how can Judy work on so many different projects at once…..then I see I am working on at least 10 Quilting projects simultaneously

The only way I can keep up with it is to put everything back in the project bag the minute I stop working on it. Otherwise, it would be a huge mess.

No bags for my stuff, just piles in several locations

My quilting stuff was either in piles or grocery sacks mostly but with cross stitching, it’s so easy to lose a skein of yarn and with the little project bags, the linen stays neater so it’s almost imperative that I keep it organized. Otherwise . . you know how I am . . piece of each project would be everywhere.

I’m going to do the Mighty Acorn too, I have to get a piece of fabric but I don’t think I’ll start anytime soon. Maybe towards fall. Hugs,
