I feel like an awful pet mom but when the vet mentioned that we could give him 1/4 Benadryl after his shots today, I got pretty excited. I’m thinking that might make him sleepy! I told Vince . . maybe I’ll get some cross stitching done today. It’s been about an hour since I gave it to him and, if anything, he’s more energetic. He’s like a little bucking bull – playing with his toys, jumping around and turning flips. Goodness, he’s fired up this morning.
Last time we took him to the vet, we stopped by Wendy’s drive thru and ate breakfast in the car. Vince asked if I wanted to try that and I told him Oscar is a whole lot more “energetic” than he was three weeks ago. I don’t think trying to eat with him on my lap would be a good idea.
I said “There’s always the donut shop!”
I love the donuts from here so we ran by there. Vince went in and I asked him to get me two glazed donuts. “Do NOT get a dozen because I’ll eat a dozen!” He got two donuts and I ate two donuts and am happy! 🙂
I’m not sure if Oscar’s Benadryl is going to make him sleepy . . I didn’t take one and I feel like I could use a nap.
Last night Oscar was so wild. It was after midnight and he was still jumping around in his crate and playing with some imaginary toy. His crate is right outside our bedroom door. I told Vince I’m either going to have to move the crate or get up and try to run some energy off him. I ended up getting up and playing fetch with the Blue Man til Oscar started getting slow at retrieving him. He was worn out so back to bed we went. I’m not sure if he went to sleep before I did but at least he wasn’t turning flips in the crate and making noise. Then I had to be up, dressed and presentable to leave the house at 7:20 to go to the vet. Not enough sleep!
