WIPGO is a little challenge/game on Facebook. It was created several years ago to get stitchers to work on their WIPS but it can be new projects, or it can be WIPS. It’s just a fun game . . no prizes other than what we award to ourselves, no pressure.
Originally, I had a lot of projects listed and my goal for all of them was to work 48 hours on them – each one of them.
There’s a chart with 24 squares. Each month, the lady who started this project will give out two random numbers 1 – 24. Those are the projects we are to work on. Some have goals listed as “complete one page of the chart” or “stitch for X number of hours” or “stitch X number of stitches” and so on.
I changed mine and all of my goals are 20 hours of stitching on each one. Here’s my chart, and I don’t expect to make any more changes.
Since we never know which numbers will come up, it was going to be hard for me to list any of the projects on my scheduled list (sidebar) because what if in January, they call the number I have listed for G. Leger, which is my Valentine’s Day start? So I have 7 squares that say “Any 2022 Scheduled Start”.
With two numbers being called each month, that means I have to work 40 hours per month just on WIPGO. I can do that. I don’t really have a clue how many hours some of these projects take. It’s kinda hard too because an hour without interruptions rarely happens but that’s life. I can use my phone as a stop watch and stop and start it as I need to and see how that goes.
Between WIPGO and not buying in 2022, I’m ready for it to start and see how all this goes. I feel like I’ve prepared for something big and now I’m just waiting for it all to begin.

I finished my WIPGO and posted it. I selected days instead of hours or stitches, unless it is a small project then I selected finish. I wanted to add some of my special day projects but was having the same issue you talked about. Next year I may do what you did. For now I am happy with my list and if I work on all of them, then I should have quite a few finishes. Over all I am ready for the new year to get here to reduce my temptation to buy, but also because I am ready to get to work on some of these projects. I did some re-arranging of my space last night and I like it better but am still struggling on where to put my chrome book. And I do love my chrome book. My tablet was old and didn’t have a lot of memory so everything to forever to loads. The chrome book is so much faster and the careen is larger which really helps. Right now I have it on a rolling tAble that sits in front of me on my left side while I stitch and then rolls to the right side when I am not stitching. I have time off this week and next and one of my goals is to figure out how I want everything.

Went back and found yours. It will be interesting to see how we all do.
So glad you love your Chromebook. Good luck getting it all figured out and where you want it.

Well I must be the craziest prepper! I have finished my spring cleaning, a leftover from a Scottish mammy who had to have the house cleaned from top to bottom before hogmanay. Which always meant done by Christmas Eve. So tick, all done and tomorrow once I have dropped husband for his knee surgery I will be home and out with my overlocker to edge all my WIPGO linens. Have all my WIPGO’ s kitted out and my 2 SAL. Starting Nutcracker Village on Christmas day and New Year Sampler on New years Eve. Then it’s my WIPGO starts New Years Day. I’m really excited to start and look forward to some up on my walls for next Christmas. I’ve mixed up large and smalls selection. Decided when I finish a small go to my hot bin, the ones I’m desperate to start. I feel all this industry will keep the new charts syndrome at bay! Good luck everyone may your wishes come true. Xx

You know you’re not the craziest! You and I may be tied for the craziest!

Some friends and I got together and we are doing themes for WIPGO to give us some flexibility and hopefully keep us engaged through the year. I typically set very low hour goals for the same reason. I think I made it 6 mom this year mostly because I wasn’t interested in the project I had named at the time. One of our theme’s is to have a friend pick the project for that WIPGO # when it’s called.

That sounds like fun. I hope when we’re talking about WIPGO on here, you’ll share how that’s going.

I looked into WIPGO when you mentioned it before and I think it will be fun! And give me a reason to work on all my projects. So, like you, I’m all ready to get started. ?

It looks like fun but I only have 1 project on the go at a time so far. But maybe some day I will have multiples.

I’m sure your way is the best way but you know I am. If I stuck to one project, I’d be patting myself on the back.

I need to fill out my chart! I’ve been busy with visiting and cooking as my older son and fiancé are with us until Sunday. I gave up my computer table to them for their computer gear so I’m also behind in commenting. Anyway, I haven’t decided fully on how many things to put on there as I know I will have a couple of new starts. I like how you annotated your new starts. I think I’ll omit my Sunday projects as that’s a given that won’t change.
