Even if you aren’t interested in cross stitching, I highly recommend watching at least one of The Contented Stitcher’s videos. Last night I watched her most recent video and I kept realizing my mouth was open . . totally in awe of what she does.
I should have written it down but I think she said she finished 51 projects in 2021 and only 7 of those were projects she had started prior to the beginning of the year. If I’m remembering correctly, that means she started and finished 44 projects during one year and she stitches some large, stitch heavy projects. OK. I went back and re-listened and yes, those numbers are correct.
While I understand it isn’t a race and we all stitch at our own speed, I want to get more done and Kim’s numbers are just astounding!
I finished 13 pieces this year and all of them were started in 2021. Only 12 are listed on the Cross Stitch page because I finished Addie’s Christmas piece last night and haven’t added it yet. Several of the pieces I stitched were very small compared to what Kim stitched. I cannot even wrap my head around the amount of stitching she gets done.
So, if you have a chance, go watch at least part of her video just so you can see all the amazing work behind her. By the way, she’s the one who cuts down her thrift store frames, refinishes them and does all her own framing.
I am in awe of The Contented Stitcher!

Wow! I can’t even fathom that many finishes!! I wonder how many hours a day she is able to work on her projects. I finished just 2!! Granted I only started mid year but still…I will take a look at her video later today. We got 6 inches of snow and can expect up to 4 more today so I won’t be going anywhere…lol
