I am happy to say that the beds are all made! Clean sheets on three beds that were completely stripped down and moved. The furniture guys set the mattress up in the basement but didn’t put the dust ruffle between the mattress and box springs so either Vince and I have to do that or I’ll get Chad and Nicole to do it Sunday. Vince seems a little tired and not very talkative so I think this is one of those days I’ll just leave well enough alone and not mention anything else we need to do.
I went to get Addie and we made it back here. I always run by Chad’s and pick up her stuff because if Addie and I go by, she wants to load everything she has into the car so Nicole gets it all ready for me and leaves it on the piano bench. Chad is off on Friday so sometimes he’s home and sometimes he isn’t. He was home today and was out cleaning fish when I got there so I visited with him for a few minutes, then he went with me to get Addie so we went back by their house to drop him off but Addie and I didn’t go in.
She scarfed down her Lunchable in the car and I had brought us some strawberries so we ate those and chatted for the hour’s drive back to my house.
This cat has turned into a neighborhood cat. I don’t know if someone dumped him or if he showed up but Addie wants him to be her cat. He isn’t neutered so he roams the neighborhood all night, then sometimes shows up at their house to be fed; sometimes shows up at other houses but wherever he shows up, someone feeds him.
Addie wants so badly for him to live inside their house. Nicole does not want an inside cat. I think it was yesterday Nicole was able to catch him. He isn’t feral .. just terribly independent. They see him almost every day but aren’t able to catch him. Would I be snuggling up with a cat that’s basically a stray cat? No . . but not my house; not my rules. I do love the smile on Addie’s face.
The cat is grown. He’s been around for probably four years but he’s about one-third the size of Boots. Addie calls him Mr. Kitty. He’s compact and muscular where Boots is just big and lazy . . I guess that’s what neutering does to a cat.
So . . it looks like a night of cross stitching quietly for me. Addie is tired. Her class spent the entire day at the park today. She’s reading and looks like she’ll fall asleep early tonight.

Mr. Kitty is a beautiful cat. I can see why Addie wants him to be hers.
