For real! I have to stop. Last night, a friend even sent me a message that a favorite shop had added a lot of new linen. I looked but I walked away. I even went back and took a second and third look and still didn’t buy any. I have to use what I have.
A package from XJu did arrive yesterday. Vince and I had been to town (the first of two trips yesterday!) so when we got home, he stopped the car at the mail box and he got the mail. He said “TWO packages or YOU!” One was just a couple of skeins of floss. The other was the linen from XJu. Being the horrible wife that I am, I knew it was coming so I had gone into one of my 45 minute speeches about how hard linen is to come by and how we order and sometimes have to wait months for it to arrive and it’s SO frustrating. Where will all this end? When will we be able to buy supplies we need? He may have felt bad for me because he didn’t mention the packages again. On the other hand, he’s only been here two days so we’re still kinda in that “honeymoon” phase.
I could hug the XJu Designs lady’s neck for putting THREE orders in the same package. One fat package looks a whole lot better than three skinny packages . . talking about linen . . nothing else! 🙂
Anyway, I slowly opened the package from XJu and savored pulling each piece of linen out, oohhing and ahhing over it. Except for one thing . . a “club” of sorts I signed up for which I’ll talk more about later . . I have nothing else coming.
So . . here’s the linen that arrived yesterday:
I don’t even know why I bothered to add this photo because the colors are so horribly wrong.
Top Row – 40 count Marbled Pointer and 40 count Rocky Mountain
Lower Row – 46 count Baby Sheep, 36 count Sampler Khaky and 40 count Willow Green
Don’t even ask me what I was thinking buying 46 count. I just wanted to try it.
This is the fabric of the month club selection for March. The club I chose is all 36 count. This one is a gorgeous, pale lemon yellow. With the club comes other little surprises and there’s a cute little chart with beads. I think she intended it to be worked on yellow but I’m saving this yellow for something special. I think I know what I want to stitch on it but I’ll have to see if the fabric is large enough.

You already know what pattern you want to sew on the yellow linen?!?! That is amazing.

Fabric of the month club that you received the yellow fabric from – do tell! Who are they? I cannot read the label. I am looking for new sources of linen fabric and you sure have a bunch of gorgeous fabric!

That yellow is gorgeous and also especially love the willow green.
