Vince said Cat is still around. He went out this evening and saw her sitting in one of her favorite spots. He said “Cat, is that you?” He said she looked the other way (which is what she always does) so he was sure it was her.
I hope someone buys that house really fast and will agree to take care of her. It doesn’t take much effort but it is nice to know that she’s managed to make it on her own without him there for so long. We did have someone going out to fill her feed container once a week but the last three weeks, they weren’t able to go so she still survived.
She made it a good many years without us so, she should be able to make it again without us but she’s gotten used to having her bowl filled and her heat light turned on when the nights are cold.
Speaking of unfriendly cats . . Boots has not been upstairs since about noon. He is really missing Vince which I think is odd and I hope he gets over it soon.
Last night Vince was talking to his sister on the phone and she said “I never knew you liked animals!” He had never had pets until we got married and Speck was never terribly nice to Vince but between Rita and Boots . . well . . you know . . Vince has two loyal pets and I seem to have none. 🙁
Maybe tomorrow or the next day . . or Christmas or sometime in 2021, Boots will decide to like me again.

This is such good news about Cat. Plus, now Vince won’t be as lonely. Hope Boots and Rita both start showing their love to you!

I have been wondering how Cat was. So glad to hear she is still okay. I feel a bit sad for her

I feel sad for her too and would give anything if we could have tamed her enough to bring her but she would probably be miserable as an inside cat and with us living where we do, she wouldn’t be able to be an outside cat. Just hoping someone buys the house quickly and they’ll be a full time resident and take care of her.

Glad to hear Cat is ok and Vince made it home ok. Just in time for a cold front! LOL

I wonder if Cat has slimmed down at all? It’s good to know she’s okay. Without food refills for three weeks, she must have rediscovered her hunting skills, but still would like to be fed!
I have the same hopes you do for a new human for her.
