On the days there are few, or no blog posts, it isn’t because I don’t have anything to say . . because you know I always have plenty to say. It’s because I’m so busy and don’t have a minute to stop and write. There’s definitely a reason . . probably multiple reasons, why young folks have the energetic kids.
I got up fairly early this morning, hoping to get in a bit of writing time and knitting time but Addie was up not long after I was. We went down to have breakfast, then she wanted to swim. While we were there, a mom with three children, one a girl Addie’s age, came to the pool so there was instant bonding and playing. We were down there about three hours. I couldn’t believe she wasn’t exhausted.
From there we went to Dairy Queen – her choice, not mine. Chad and Nicole had gone to an auction so mid-afternoon we went to their house to walk Speck, back to the hotel, more swimming time.
I had brought her the Dick and Jane series and we’ve read 6 of the books and she told me she wants to read one more before she goes back home.
We’ve really only had five days together this trip but I’ll take five days over four days . . just not as long as I would have liked but I’m thankful for every day we get to spend together.

I love that you take Addie to a hotel where she plays and plays in the pool and has you all to herself. Chad and Nichole get a mini-vaca/couple time. Everyone wins! I have no doubt they appreciate you soooooo much!

I am so glad you are having this time with her. It will be precious to both of you. She will remember it forever.

It’s much more important to have as much time as possible with Addie than it is to keep all your followers up to date on what you’re doing!! Enjoy yourself, and know that we understand and most of us probably already know why you’re not writing as much! 🙂
