The second project I’m taking is Blue Sand.
This is the one that I took apart in June and was going to shorten it, add the ribbing, then do the sleeves and then decide what to do about the button bands because I don’t think I want it to be like the pattern shows. I am to the point now of adding the bottom ribbing. I cannot find the pink yarn, which I will need for the sleeves. I can either keep looking for the yarn before I go, or just use the blue and gray and not use the pink or save this project til last and only work on it after I’ve finished the others if I haven’t found the pink yarn before I go. Anyone think there’s a chance I’ll finish all the projects I’m bringing? No . . not going to happen!

I always wayyyyyy over-pack projects when I travel, because I’m going to knit like the wind… Instead, I barely work on most things, and never get much done. 🙂

It has a lot of pink in it, so I’d go with using the other colors on the sleeves, personally.

You could, but I doubt you will have time. There is a sweet little girl there that wants to be with you during the day! I know I would be spending every second I have with her! Have a wonderful time. There is always the internet if you run out of something to do! And I bet there are places there or near that sell yarn! LOL

I would go with the darker blue for the sleeves, because it would separate out the top from the bottom nicely.

I have yarn for a Blue Sand and the pattern is in my library. Question for you: which shoulder did you knit?
