Trips are a great time for me to start new projects . . several new project . . and finish none of them. I definitely have a bad case of startitis (starting things I don’t finish). There are several sweater patterns that I want to start. Most of them have lots of cables and I know they’re not good projects for working on while visiting family.
For weeks, I’ve been thinking about the projects I’d take with me and most of them were new sweaters. I had planned to take a few that were already started – those two V-Neck pullovers will be very easy to work on while I’m there.
I’ve come to my senses and decided to take projects that are already started. Most of these photos came from old blog posts so a little more progress has been made. I’m going to do them in separate blog posts so I can kinda keep up with myself and what I’m doing better.
The first is 14 Carat by Knit Purl Hunter. This was a Knit Along that was started in probably 2015 or 2016 and it’s a poncho like project. A lady visited our knitting group here one day and she was wearing one. She had actually finished hers!
The yarn is interesting. It’s 55% cotton, 21% nylon, 16% rayon and 8% sillk. I do want to finish this project, though it probably won’t happen this trip.
I have done a little more than is shown in the photo, but not much.

You aren’t the only one dealing with “Startitis. As a rug hooker I have six started and four of those are large ones. I’m not sure if it’s boredom or a short attention span, but sure wish I could focus long enough to finish these. I have several more I want to hook! I won’t even place a number on the ones which need the edge bound. Hang there…I feel sure at some point we can cross the finish line on each and every one of these.

Guilty here with many quilt projects started. And, my list of tops that need quilting is also long. Oh well…
Have a safe drive & I’ll keep my eye on the weather report as you travel.
