As you have been reading on Judy’s blog, last week was a busy week. This is the month to get all our vehicles inspected so they can be registered for another year. It was also a good time to have oil changes performed since they are done at the same establishment. I took the two cars in on Monday and the old truck in on Tuesday. Tuesday was also the day I went by the tag office. In Texas, we just have windshield sticker for tag renewals so the old ones got scraped off and new ones put in their place.
Wednesday was the day of the big concrete pour for the base of the internet tower. The weather cooperated because the sun was behind the clouds most of the morning, which kept the temperature fairly cool. It took four concrete trucks to fill the base of the tower and the whole pour went without a hitch. There was even enough concrete left over to improve our driveway entrance where it meets the state highway.
Thursday I was back in town getting my tires aligned because my car started pulling to the left. The mechanic, after checking the alignment, told me the problem was not the alignment but I had a different tire tread pattern on one tire. Who ever checks this when they buy tires? I usually just look to see that all the tires have the same manufacturer’s name. This diagnosis made perfect sense since I had my tires rotated the prior week. This would have brought the odd tire to the front axle where the difference would be more obvious. The mechanic suggested we rotate that tire to the rear axle again and that fixed the problem. We only drive this car for short trips in town so I bet these tires will last until they all need to be replaced again. You can bet the next time I buy tires I will look at all the information on the sides of the tires.
On my return from the auto shop, we both went to town to buy some needed groceries and chicken feed. The place where I buy feed keeps changing brands and I haven’t been happy with the result. They are trying to keep prices lower but it’s at the expense of the feed quality. I had to return feed that was the consistency of powder.
All last week there were free video broadcasts on the keto lifestyle. Each day we could watch five different videos. Most were very good. In fact, one was so good, I had to go back to town on Friday, to buy more groceries so Judy could make some recipes she learned about during one of the videos.
This week there won’t be so many planned or needed trips and events which have to be dealt with so, hopefully, I can get back to pondering from the recliner!

Hey, Vince, first time replying to you. I’m in Australia and we did away with windscreen stickers a few years ado, due to automated equipment in police cars. Still not sure that was a good idea

Sounds like you kept the road hot with all those trips to town.

Where are you watching video’s on Keto?

It sounds like you were VERY busy! I have never checked to see that the tread pattern is the same! Something to watch out for, since I only buy two at a time anyway.
