The other day Addie was doing something. I was trying to show her how to do it correctly and she was telling me she knew . . she knew . . just let me do it. I said “Addie, you do not know everything! Listen to people who are trying to show you things.”
Last night, she was working on the Lexia computer program from school and she was surprising the heck out of me with her spelling. I said “Addie, you really are a smart girl!” She said “See! I told you I know everything.” I said “No! No one knows everything! You can always learn from others.” She said “Granny! You’re wrong. Daddy knows everything and so do I.”
OK! Another one of those arguments I cannot win. I just said “Some day you’ll figure it out . . I hope!”

Makes me remember when my youngest granddaughter was probably going on three yrs. old and I absently called her “baby”. She turned on me and said in no uncertain terms, “I not a baby, I a KID”. Okaaaay!! LOL

Hahahaha!!! Ah, to be young and foolish again!! If she thinks she knows everything now, wait till she becomes a teenager!!! Then they really DO know everything!! Just ask and they’ll tell you!! Hahahaha!

Some day she’ll look back, and say (or at least think), “I can’t believe I said that”. Or, she won’t remember being like that at all. If she ends up with a child like herself, her parents will laugh. I bet you can remember Chad being like that when he was younger. You can laugh that now he gets to experience it. :). Ah, to my young and know everything again! LOL

So calling her Miss Know-it-all would not be an insult, just a statement of fact. (heehee)

When I was a kid (maybe a little older than her) I thought my parents or any other adults knew nothing and I knew everything! Boy was I in for a surprise!!

And yet, she didn’t know what snails eat. LOL This stage probably won’t last long. One hopes. Good to think Daddy knows all, though. It gives a child confidence.
