Yesterday Addie decided she would take roses to her teacher this morning so after breakfast, we went out. She chose the ones she wanted to take, and she but them, handed them to me and I wrapped them in a damp paper towel, then wrapped them with a plastic grocery sack so she could get them to school without being stuck by a thorn.
She was so happy to be taking flowers to the teacher.

I so loved my early grade teachers, they were so special. What a wonderful way to part from your first teacher with really beautiful roses. Your return trip sounds like a fulfillment for a Nana, so glad you could make it back and be part of the end of school events and some (cabin yay) camping. Good for you for uniting yourself with your family, you are good for them and they are good for you.

Wow beautiful roses the blooms are so big. I remember doing this exact same thing as a child. My grandparents lived across the street form me. My grandmother( and my mother both had green thumbs). I would pick what was blooming and take to school for my teacher. I so enjoy when you jog my memory of things of the past. Addie is so darn cute too. Love the new hair do by the way. I’m sure it is easier to brush now too. Enjoy your time there they grow up so fast.

The new do is very becoming to Addie. Sweet of her to think of taking the teacher roses. I remember taking my beloved first grade teacher a huge bouquet of irises. Glad you took photo for future (maybe 60 yrs later) memory.
