Tonight was Addie’s program at school. I feel like this program was a long time coming. Addie’s teacher apologized to me again about the cancellation week before last. I assured her that I was glad the school put safety first and had no problem with the cancellation. That lady is so sweet. Every time Chad is around her, he says “Something is wrong with her. No one can bee that sweet!”
There are nine kindergarten classes at Addie’s school. The first group, five of those classes, performed at 5:30, and the second group, the remaining four, performed at 7. It had to have been a long night for the teachers, helpers, the music teacher and the principal.
It was an amazing show. Addie had a solo singing part and a speaking part but there were probably 4 solo singing parts and 15 or more solo speaking parts. Those kids were amazing. I don’t think one child forgot their lines, or stood there terrified and wouldn’t speak.
I’m so glad I was able to come back. Vince kept telling me someone could video it for me and there would be other programs but I told him . . there will never be another FIRST program and I’ll always be sorry if I miss this one.

Addie will always remember you being there!! I’m so happy you were able to see it. I’m sorry Vince and your Uncle didn’t get to see it. Safety was the main concern as it had to be.

And it sounds like you were right. It’s different being there in person, anyway. I’m so glad you did get to return.
