I have no idea why the mouse is in the freezer. There are other critters in there too. Later I was looking for something and I said “There’s another critter in here . . with feathers!” A duck. Chad said “There’s also a whole fish I’m trying to decide if I want to get mounted.
The first day I was there, I was putting stuff in the freezer and I squealed and said “There’s a mouse in here!” I think Addie was telling me why it was in there and Chad was telling me why and I couldn’t stop thinking . . this is wrong! So, if either of them told me a plausible reason, I didn’t hear it or don’t remember.

LOL, fair enough. I guess there’s a lesson here – like there needs to be a freezer outside for wild things. =)

I had a mink in mine for awhile. Cat brought it home and I thought Fish and Game may want it. That along with a Saw Whett owl that died on my doorstep last year. They wanted them both. Doing rescue I’ve lost a few pups, large birds etc. If it is winter and the ground is frozen they go into the freezer until spring so they can be buried in my Pet Cemetery. There are also some goat heads in there waiting until I get enough to simmer them down for broth. Ahhhh…country life on the farm!

LOL – OK! I think an outside freezer may be a good idea, though!
