Notice I didn’t say “I was crazy yesterday!” Let’s not read anything into this post.
On Tuesday, Vince was making noise about wanting to go to town so I said “Can we please go tomorrow and I can deliver eggs while we’re out?” and he agreed.
There was a time when I got out of bed, went straight to the shower and was dressed and ready to face the world before 7 a.m. These days, I’m still sitting around in my pjs about 10 a.m., saying “I really need to get dressed!” Yesterday, before 8 a.m., Vince said “I’d like to go to town as soon as you’re dressed.” That meant . . get in the shower and hurry and get dressed! So, I did.
We dropped off the eggs that needed to be delivered, then went to Walmart, then to Aldi, then to United and finally . . home! I did a few things around the house, including making the second video blog, then after dinner, a friend came by and visited for a while. It was a full day, but a fun day.
What got really crazy was that I could not get the video off the iPad onto Youtube. It actually took hours and hours to get the first one off but I never could get the second one to upload. Vince got involved and he couldn’t do it either. Finally, he did it using a PC but neither of us could figure out why we couldn’t get it to work with the iPad and the Chromebook. Then he tried it using his Chromebook and the iPad and Chromebook communicated perfectly.
Every time I would start doing something on my computer, he would find something else to try and he would take my computer, keep it 10 or 15 minutes, give it back to me; I’d start doing something again and he’d take it back and try something else.
Finally, he figured out some setting that needed to be changed so now, hopefully, I can connect the iPad to the Chromebook, the two will be on speaking terms and all will work as it should.
Vince did his usually thorough research and we ordered a camera last night that should work better for making videos and should be much easier to interface with the Chromebook . . especially since the camera has an SD card I can simply plug into the Chromebook.
There’s a learning curve for everything and making and uploading these videos is no exception but when the two devices just refuse to communicate, and I have no idea what to do, it gets to be pretty frustrating.
I’ve just done the two days worth of videos so I shouldn’t expect things to go smoothly yet . . I suppose, but I do think we’re on the right track now.

Hopefully you both will get it set up so they all play nicely together. Also wanted to let you know I just adopted a sweet frosty face 13 yr old blind Dachshund. It took less than a week for him to figure out the layout of the kitchens and living room, where the open crates are and the dog beds. The same day he arrived he figured out where the back door is and the ramp down into the outside fenced in area. He catches on very quickly. I adopted his brother also but they are indifferent to each other. I thought you’d like to hear about blind Frankie.

Judy. Hopefully all will go well now. It takes me longer to get started also. What is worse is that I have a neighbor my age who is up at 5 every morning and ready to go and can’t understand any one who is so lazy they aren’t out of bed at 8 am. Cillia thank you for adopting the blind dachshund. People hesitate to adopt the blind dogs at shelters. Please think about it. They are just as sweet and loving as the sighted ones. They do learn to navigate around your home. I have a Shitzu who was 8 when I got her. He is about 13 years old now. Yes out side I’ve seen him walk into a post on our porch and even into the storm door but he has such a joy for life and inside he manages quite well. He also has a nose that tells when you are trying to sneak a snack without sharing.

What is the setting? My kids would love to connect their school chromebook to their personal ipad.

You went to town and went to only THREE stores? I can remember counting your stops, and being tired just reading them!
My husband is helping me with my computer, but since it was basically unusable, no problem with scheduling! Although I did keep him up much later than usual with it. It seems to be working now, but I don’t yet know how well.
Your mention of neither heat nor AC had me looking at your weather. Very nice! This must be the good week! (heehee)

If they were my videos, I’d be happy with them. I’ll bet you get it down to a science in no time.
