Last night I came across the pattern, Nelchina. I like a lot of Caitlin Hunter’s patterns and was surprised that I’ve never come across that one and it’s been out since January, 2018.
This morning I went over and dug around through the stash to see what yarn I could find that might work. I found these three that were to go into another project that I’ll probably never make.
I told Vince . . I want to make this sweater. I have some of the yarn but I need more. What do you think about me ordering yarn. He said . . and I quote: “You know I don’t care if you order yarn!” Well, then . . why all the complaining when it comes in?? I didn’t say that .. I just thought it.
I wanted something really dark for the main part of the sweater. I have Badlands but I think it has too much gray. Then I thought I wanted purple but when I held the Sugar Plum (middle one shown above) up against the purples, it made the Sugar Plum not so pretty. Vince suggested green so I ordered Cactus. I think it’s appropriate that, living hear, I use as much of the Cactus and Snake colorways as possible.
That’s the Cactus picture from Eat, Sleep, Knit. I think it will work quite nicely!

Awesome that Vince has expanded his interests to giving yarn advice! His retirement has opened up time for him to hone his skills! You go Vince!
