Vince set up the chest for me and now, my little knitting area is just the way I want it.
The only thing I would do differently is someday, I might get a table type lamp that extends over into the area of my chair and get rid of the floor lamp but the floor lamp is pretty new so for now, the floor lamp stays. Vince wants to paint the doors on the end table to match the chest doors. I told him I might would paint each quarter of the door a different color and paint the drawer a different color but I’m not even sure I would do anything with it.
It is so nice having all those drawers! They’re small but so much of what I have to put in them is small. So far, I don’t have much in any of them but I have nail files, nail cutters, and a few lotion containers in one drawer. In another drawer I have the knitting needles that have recently come out of projects that need to go back into their appropriate places. For now, I’ll just stick them in a drawer and then every now and them, file them all back where they need to be. Another drawer holds cards, holders, labels that I use for my project bags and leftover yarns. Yet another drawer holds tablets. I have several Kindle Fire tablets, and several other small tablets that fit nicely into the drawer.
On top, I have the jar that holds leftover yarn balls, my grandma’s recipe box and I will put my newest picture of Addie on there too.
Vince is happy that it seems much better built than the one we had seen at Hobby Lobby and I’m happy with my whole new setup!

This looks great! I love the chest and the table will look good as is or painted different colors. I think it would keep me better organized and that’s saying a lot.

with all of those spots, I think I would be getting my label machine out to make sure I remember where everything was supposed to go.
When my mom was with me, I did that on a lot of shelves and drawers to make sure she put the stuff in the right places. But, if she insisted that something goes on that shelf,I just changed the label. It was easier that way!

We were anxiously waiting to see your new organization pieces. They are really cute. I’m organizing my “craft” room. Whew!

So nice and cozy……I think I’d want to stay there all day.

I like your little nook! The end table and the chest look very nice. You are going to enjoy this!

Love it! I too have always liked and wanted the one from hobby lobby but they were always so rickety. I thought it was just the ones here, but guess not! The perfect little spot!
Susan says
Great set up. I don’t like table lamps because it takes table space, and I can’t adjust it the way I can my Ott floor lamp. I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

I’m glad for you that Vince didn’t insist on building a chest. This was acquired quickly!
Jean says
LOVE IT, Judy! Fun and functional.

Save one drawer for when you find your lost cookie molds. I am sure you will find them soon.
Val says
Judy could you please send a link for the chest. I must have missed it and want to check if it’s available in Canada. Thank you.

I love the sizes and shapes of your new furniture pieces with lots of storage. What I don’t like is the fake used look! If they were mine I’d have to paint both of them to get rid of the scruffy edges.

Very nice! I might have to look into getting something like that for myself when we move. But first need to move and decide where and what furniture is going to be used, and if we are going to put shelving up…..oh dear…there goes my mind again.

Judy, your own cozy area is just darling!
