That didn’t take long, did it? Of course, I have a good reason! It all started with Eat, Sleep, Knit showing their 2019 Exclusive Around the World yarns. As I understand it, instead of having monthly one time (not to be restocked) exclusive yarns, the main yarns for the year were released yesterday and they will be restocked as needed and there will be other special yarns released at various times throughout the year.
Also, I’ve wanted to make a “temperature” something. That’s where you pick yarns – 10 – 15 of them probably, assign a “value” to each one, then every day, you log the temp in your area, or you could take an average and do it once a week. I’m thinking about doing a long cowl that can be doubled or tripled. Say I assigned a color for every 10 degrees: green for 0 – 10 (yes it happens), brown for 11 – 20, dark blue for 21 – 30, red for 31 to 40, etc. You can put a neutral color between the rows if you’d like. Yesterday the high at home was in the upper 30’s so I would knit 4 rows of red. Then, I could knit 2 neutral rows. Today it’s going to be in the low 30’s, so I would knit 4 more rows of red and 2 neutral rows. Say Thursday it will be in the 20’s. I’d knit 4 rows of dark blue and 2 rows of neutral.
Something temperature related is the year long project at ESK for 2019 so I was happy to see that. I ordered a few skeins of the Dream in Color Classy to use, as well as a few skeins of solid-ish DIC Classy. I have no DIC Classy in my stash. I’ve used it to make two sweaters several years ago but that was all I had.
I’m really anxious to get started on this project. Once the yarn arrives, I’ll make my legend for the temps and share a photo.
Back on track . . I’m going to send in some store credit cards and when the credit is added to my account, I will probably order more but . . no more willy nilly yarn ordering.

I had to laugh at this. I made the resolution not to buy fabric this year. Even joined the no buy on another blogg site. Of course I had to end the year with buying everything I could possibly need for the coming year. My poor husband just looked at me and said You will buy whatever you might NEED for a project Right! I have a shed that is 8’x10′ that is my shopping area. I have tons of fabric and the only person I know that exceeds that is you. But I am really going to try and stay away from the shopping sites. Keeping my fingers crossed and wished me luck. LOL

That’s funny because I am making a temperature quilt and I bought a Fat Eighths bundle that was on sale for 50% off so that I’d have coordinated colors. LOL
