Yesterday evening I was walking back to the house from the shop. My hands were full . . a Dr. Pepper, four bags of freeze dried ice cream, the three aprons . . I looked to my left (west) and saw this:
Evening Sky
It looks like those clouds are sitting on the ground in the distance.
At the same time, this is what it looked like to my right (east).
Night Sky
The eastern sky looks totally different from the western sky!
I put everything I was carrying down on the driveway so I could get a few pictures. It’s amazing how quickly the sky changes. I took four consecutive shots and the fourth one looks so different from the first one.
I love the evening sky!

I’m ALWAYS jumping up off the couch to run out and take some sky shots. When I’m on the couch, I’m facing the west and MAN, are there some beautiful sunsets out there!! Sometimes I’ll be driving and notice a pretty cloud formation or just a gorgeous sky and I’m looking for a place to pull over quickly so I can get a shot before it’s gone!!

Texas and Oklahoma are the only places I’ve ever seen the clouds do that scaly thing the bottom picture shows. It always looks so interesting!
