#21 isn’t the only thing that didn’t make it. 🙁
Our little chickens that hatched a while back . . they think they’re way smarter than they are and they’re too brave for their own good. We left yesterday morning with two little chicks and came home to just one. Not sure what happened to the other one but it’s gone. Every evening, Vince goes out and throws scratch grains to the chickens. The babies could still fit through the fence so they would run around all over the place. When they saw Vince coming, they would run up to him and he’d throw them their grains outside the fence because the big chickens pushed the little chickens away and they didn’t get grain. Yesterday evening, only one little chicken came up to meet him. We looked for the other one but .. it seems to be gone. It could have been a fox or a hawk . . could have been anything with them out run around and not inside the fence.
#21 – For Addie’s advent gifts, #21 was a squeeze bottle of chocolate ice cream topping. I planned that one for December 21 because I’ll be there and I could make sure there was ice cream in the house. Tough job but I don’t mind doing it. 🙂
I told Nicole . . you need to put #21 up so Speck doesn’t get into it.
She called last night and said “I should have listened to you!” I was trying to think what it was I had told her. She then told me they came home yesterday and Addie said “Speck is opening my presents!” Yep, Speck got into the chocolate topping. Nicole said all he did was make teeth marks into the squeeze bottle. There wasn’t any on the carpet and he hadn’t eaten any.
Just to be safe, Addie has removed all the presents from under the tree. I’m betting she removes them and puts them back 100 times between now and Christmas.
I told Addie not to worry . . I’ll bring another #21.

Poor Speck, he just wants to celebrate too! We always buy our dogs Christmas gifts! They seem to think if we are opening presents, they should also!!

I’m SO glad he didn’t actually get into the bottle. Chocolate is terrible for dogs and cats. Somehow, he must have smelled something that was good in there, though.
