Vince had to run to town so I went with him and coming home, he said “Why are they spraying de-icer on the highway?”
Another picture of a nice, wide Texas road with no traffic. Love it! You can probably see a few cat tracks down the windshield too.
I looked at the weather forecast and it said 41° tonight and 40° tomorrow night. We thought maybe they were doing some training or something. I mentioned it on Facebook and a friend who lives farther north said . . no, it’s real. It’s going to get cold . . Sunday for them, Monday for us. According to Accuweather, it will rain before noon and the temps should still be in the 40’s. Then our low Tuesday is going to be 24°. Less than a week ago, it was in the 80’s.
If the weather stays like it is in the forecast, we won’t have rain and below freezing temps at the same time but I’m really happy the highway people are staying ahead of it and working to keep our roads safe.

I am glad they do this also. Years ago they were not doing preventative maintenance, just doing it the day it happened. Made lots of people late to work!!
