Addie was having her after school snack and I was sitting at the table with her and we were talking.
Addie: I didn’t go to the principal’s office today.
Me: You’ve never gone, have you?
Addie: No!
Me: You need to thank your parents for teaching you to behave and follow the rules.
Addie: Yes! And for teaching me to be kind, safe and responsible.
Sometimes, especially when she’s so serious, and says things like that, it’s really hard not to laugh at her.
I feel really bad for the kids in kindergarten who do have to go to the principal’s office, and some of them seem to go really often, according to Addie. I hope they can get things turned around for them!

Those children can turn things around with parents supporting administration and the teacher. Sad to say many don’t and blame the school for the problems. I saw it all too often when I was teaching. Addie would be a pleasure to have in class.

Well unfortunately this brings back memories about my youngest son who by the way turns 24 today, he is A DVD and spent quite a few days in the principals office.
