Chad and I had gone to get something he needed from the hardware store. As we pulled in back at home and parked next to his old truck, he said, I really need to wash that truck. He goes hunting every evening and every morning he can and it’s down some dirt roads. Just as we started to walk across the driveway, the water maintenance guy opened up a fire hydrant.
We stood there and watched it for a second and then Chad said “Let me get my keys. I’m fixing to get a free truck wash!”
He stopped right before he got to the water and asked the guy how long it was going to be spraying and he said “5 more minutes”. Chad said “I’m going to wash my truck!” and the guy gave him the thumbs up.
He went down, turned around and came back through.
Ahh . . a much cleaner truck.
Pretty quick thinking on Chad’s part!

That is ingenious! I have always thought there should be a better use for the water when they open these hydrants! What was really bad was when they had to do them during the drought!
