Busy Monday

I’ve never had a job where it was a problem to leave if I needed to leave but both Chad and Nicole have jobs where they can’t just say “I have to run home for an hour or so” so while I’m here, I’ve been trying to be helpful.

The garage door guy was here for several hours Friday but it still wasn’t right so I called him and he came back out today.

Their fridge is less than a year old but the ice maker isn’t working right. Called the manufacturer for warranty service. They “sent” a work order to a company and told me to call them in about an hour to confirm the appointment for Thursday. I called several times and never got an answer or a recording so I called the manufacturer back and they said it will take them 1 – 2 days to find another service company who comes here. Hope they can get someone here while I’m still here.

Flower Girl Dress

This morning I got the second flower girl dress finished. So very glad to be done with those. I still need to steam press them . . maybe tomorrow. I brought my steamer from home and I don’t want to get it out today since we have company coming for dinner tomorrow.

It was cold . . about 32° this morning, and Addie said several times in the car “Granny, I wish I had my unicorn mittens!” I’m sure she had other mittens but I got crackin’ on the unicorn mittens.

I doubt they’ll get finished tonight . . dinner isn’t started yet and then there will be lots of cleaning to do afterwards. Nicole will probably get Addie bathed and to bed while I clean the kitchen and by then, I may be ready for bed too but if they don’t get done today, maybe they’ll get done tomorrow or Wednesday.
