We went to town today. I guess I don’t even need to say that anymore because, with Vince home every day, we’ll probably go to town every day. It’s just life around here. Yesterday, thankfully, he did go by himself but we went Monday, I went Tuesday after knitting, he went yesterday, we went today . . the only solution I see is to move farther from town and he wouldn’t be so likely to want to go every day.
I’ seriously considering just flat out saying . . I’m going by myself! But, then, I’d probably never go and we’d run out of everything (except toilet paper). When we went to Aldi and he bought the lawn mower we didn’t need, I told him I was not going grocery shopping with him again. Today we went . . together.
Does that look like groceries in our cart?
Every single thing I buy that isn’t necessary, according to Vince, he says “That’s just added weight if you ever want to move!” Maybe he’s trying to come up with so much weight that we can never move. I have no idea but I would about bet the farm that when we move, this saw and the Aldi lawn mower will still be sitting in the boxes, never used!
Seriously, what I’m going to do when I get back is have my grocery list and go to the store by myself after knitting on Tuesday and absolutely not go back again til the next Tuesday.

Yea, right!!! lol He’ll eventually find his new normal. He’s not on a schedule now and so it’s fun to be able to goon a whim. It’ll wear off.

Aldi had lawn mowers?!!! I love their non-grocery stuff (hardly ever buy groceries there) and got 3 metal shelving units for the garage yesterday. But can honestly say I’ve never seen lawn mowers! HA

If you ever move, just call us – we’ll be glad to come and help haul the fabric and yarn for you. The only “fee” will be to be first bidders for what you don’t want to move.

Well just tell him its extra weight for when you move. What happened to your retirement budget? OOps bad subject that went out the door … lol

Sounds like a plan to me! When Pat goes with me he wants to go down every isle. I tell him I don’t need anything on that isle but he insists on walking down it to see if there is anything we need! Nope! LOL

That last paragraph ain’t gonna happen. Ha ha

What ever happened to the retirement budget and tracking the spending?

This I have to see. If you can not go shopping with Vince at least once between Tuesdays, I’ll be surprised. =)

Mike does go to town with me almost every single time I go but he does NOT go in the grocery store, he sits in the car. He goes in Costco when we are in Billings but not usually Walmart unless he needs paint or something. I broke him of grocery store shopping–he would ask me, “why do you need that,” “couldn’t you just use something else,” “why do you need that.” I walked out of the store and told him he could cook for himself from now on. He believed me I guess!
