This morning I took out the pizza casserole.
It has pasta in it so I didn’t even taste it! Vince tasted a crunchy piece of it and said “That’s really good!” It really is very edible just as it is.
I ended up with two bags and two quart jars of pizza casserole. As soon as I go into the sewing room to start processing food out of the freeze dryer, I put Boots in the 8 x 8 closet. It has a screen door so it isn’t like he’s totally isolated. It only takes about 10 minutes to be done with the food and then I let him out.
He is such a sweet cat and he’s very pretty too! And he can be quite a pain in the back side when I’m trying to do something that should not involve a cat.
The freeze dryer has now defrosted and I’m going to load it up with chili.

That chili looks so good! Boots has gorgeous eyes, which should give him a little leeway on being a pain in the backside. 😉

Boots is a beautiful kitty! I miss my cats, but don’t want to bring one in with the dogs! I had one that lived to be 24! That is human years!

How can you resist that face, LOL……food looks GREAT!

I wish I coukd find a book or something to read on freeze drying. Watching you work with yours has tempted me to get one but I’m still not sure exactly what can be freeze dried and how to rehydrate it,

The chili looks good now, and I’m sure it will taste fabulous afterward, too. Too bad freeze-drying doesn’t take all the bad-for-you-things out of food. =)
