Michelle Hunter, of Knit Purl Hunter, often has awesome knit alongs going. She also has amazing little videos for most anything you could need. When I’m not sure how to do something, or need to be sure I’m remembering correctly, I always check out her videos first.
In 2016 she did the Fourteen Carat Poncho, which I started, and like so many of my projects, didn’t finish. While searching for something else, I found the poncho project and decided to pick it up and try to get it finished. Here’s where I left off . . two years ago!
The yarn is CoBaSi by HiKoo and it’s 55% cotton, 15% bamboo, 8% silk and 21% elastic nylon. It’s interesting yarn and I like working with it. The main thing this yarn is loved for is that it’s a pretty durable non-wool sock yarn. If I have any of it left over, I may make myself a pair of socks and see what I think.
Not only do I have all the yarn but I have one of my Addi Click needles in there and I’m about to run out of needles so I need to finish some projects! How’s that for a motivator . . buy new needles or finish some projects!
This is a fairly easy project . . doesn’t require a lot of attention, so I should have some time to work on it over the next few days. I don’t think I can finish it in a few days but I hope I’ll finish it before burying it in a yarn box again.
Also, one day a lady from a neighboring town came to our knitting group and she was wearing hers . . all finished, of course. It looked really nice and I think I’ll love having this one done.
