I don’t want anyone to think choosing yarn is a struggle. I love it! I love digging through the tubs of yarn. I love finding yarns I had forgotten about. I love pairing colors.
Rosemary Hill has a new mystery starting today. I love mysteries from my favorite designers . . the ones whose patterns I always love and have no apprehension about following them blindly down the path of a new mystery.
I should have already decided on a yarn but, I just hadn’t so as soon as the first clue arrived in my inbox, I went digging.
Pink is a color I love but it isn’t a color I wear but I do like this combination and I think I would wear this. So many of my shawls are worn with a favorite white shirt and jeans so any color will work. This is Madelinetosh TML and the colors are Posy and Savannah.
Next up is more Tosh Merino Light. In fact, I think all this is Tosh Merino Light and the colors are Aura (blue) and the lighter one is a One of a Kind (OOAK) color.
This combination kinda proves that I should not be left to choose my own colors, but I love it! The green is Jade and the speckle is Found Pottery.
I like this combination but the speckle is Twist Light and I may have gone ahead and ordered that color and it should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully Wednesday because that’s when Vince will be at rehab when the mail runs. The brown is Rosewood and the speckle is Yoko.
What do you think? The out-of-character-for-me pink? The calming blues? The can’t-miss-Judy green? The kinda boring brown? Y’all decide! I’m not going to be responsible. I you pick and I don’t like it, I can always blame my readers for the poor choice of colors!
Mary Jo says
Jump out of that boring box, Judy, and use the pink! (You are definitely not boring!)
pandrpeele says
Pink, of course! 2nd choice blue.
Lynne says
I like the can’t miss Judy green
Judy Laquidara says
I like that one too but I like them all.
Wanda says
That is a hard choice I like the green myself.
Liz says
Go for the pink option – you can always gift the shawl to a young lass in Missouri!
Anne says
I think you should knit the pink. !
Cilla Tyler says
Tosh Merino light is my choice. You sound like me trying to figure out my quilt choice colours. I went bin Diving today.
Karen Sutton says
I like them all and probably have them all but to tell you the truth the boring brown calls to me. I don’t think it’s boring at all.
Marsha says
Green
Nelle Coursey says
I like the pink! I think it would be beautiful on you!
danielle nabozny says
Strange for me to choose – but the blue one! Altho if you like pink but rarely make a shawl for it…..go for it!
Tina in NJ says
I’d go for the blue for myself, but for you, the pink wins. I just like the way the two colors go together.
Donna says
Pink or green would be my choices
Joyce in Oregon says
Judy, the combos are all fabulous, pink is sweet, green is perky, brown is rich, and the blue is very subtle. Are there any “holes” I’m your wardrobe that need filled? Maybe that will help you eliminate some of the choices? No matter what you choose, I’m sure it will be gorgeous. Good luck!
Teri says
I think I like the pink…..I’m really torn because I love them all….
Dar says
First choice: PINK!
Second choice: PINK!
Third choice: PINK!
Fourth choice: ok, BLUE!

They are all pretty, so number them 1-4 and have Vince pick a number. =) Or you could pick by season of the year when you’ll be wearing it. It looks to me like, top to bottom, you have spring, winter, summer fall!
If it were mine, I’d pick the green one, though I wear more blues than anything, and pink would be my last choice, because I don’t care for pink and orange. Thanks for not choosing a U of TN orange yarn!
Joyce says
They are all pretty, but I really like the pink! (If you would have had a purple combo, I would have likely voted for that…) 🙂
