Yesterday we went to Tractor Supply. Vince said “Are you waiting in the car?” because that’s what I usually do during Chick Days. I said “No, I think I can go in there and leave without chicks” and . . I did!
Barely!
Two of those tubs had ducks but all the rest of them had chicks! Almost all of them were pullets. I’ve never seen our Tractor Supply have so many varieties and so many pullets (meaning . . supposedly no roosters). They had Welsummers, which I had wanted at one time and they had two other brands that are the “watch list” meaning they’ve almost gone extinct and they’re (don’t ask me who “they” is) working to bring them back.
I was looking at them, wanting to grab one up and snuggle it. They’re so fully and so cute and they look like they’re having so much fun playing . . without a care in the world. Vince came by and said “NO MORE CHICKENS!” I said . . I know. Then I mentioned the different breeds and he said “Do you want to get a few?” Nope .. I’m not doing it! I walked away without any chickens!
I did get a little shovel. There’s always something to dig up around here.
I was pretty proud of myself for not getting baby chicks, especially since Vince was thinking it was an ok thing to do.

Good job girlfriend! I won’t go into our farm store. 🙂 Ernie went yesterday and as he’s walking out the door, I hollered “Don’t bring home any baby chicks! I mean it!!!” LOL And he didn’t even go look. He ran into a friend and was distracted. 🙂 🙂

good job, girl ! You don’t need babies just now. Is Vince back at work yet? How’s he doing? Getting stronger by the day, I hope.

I’m impressed, I don’t know if I would have had the strength to walk away. Give yourself a high five.

Especially impressive when you looked!* And Vince was willing! You stick to your guns, girl.
*When I want something, it’s easier to just not even look.

Good job on being resistant. You should only get some if you actually want or need them.
