Nicole was working today so Chad and I spent hours looking online at houses that are for sale, then driving around looking at neighborhoods. He and Nicole are trying to decide if they’re going to buy a house or keep renting. They can buy a house and have a note less than they pay for rent but there’s always the possibility of having to move again. They’ve been in five towns in five years so who knows how long they will stay here. For the most part Chad has an option of staying or going but it’s hard to turn down a move that’s good for them.
We didn’t see inside any of the houses but looked at them online. One that I really liked had awful orange carpet in it.

I was telling Nicole not to get discouraged about the orange carpet. That can come out and they could put in tile or wood. She was looking at pictures on her phone and telling me she wasn’t seeing any orange carpet. I figured she was on the wrong house so when she showed me . . she was looking at pictures on one site and I was looking at pictures on a different website. This is what she was seeing!

Obviously one is an old picture. How weird is that?
We kept going back and forth laughing about us seeing different versions of the same house and thinking one of us was looking at the wrong house.
It doesn’t take much to entertain us.

It’s a responsibility, but I’m sure they both know that. They can’t alter a rental, but if something breaks, they don’t have to pay for repairs or replacements! He’s certainly moving around with the company, which will be a great foundation for a job further up the chain of command some day. Being easily entertained is a talent, and a good one to have.
