Shopping With Addie

Addie has been so excited ever since I told her when I was here, I’d take her shopping for pajamas.  Yesterday morning, we took our time getting dressed and headed to Joplin to shop. We were hardly out of town and she wanted to stop at Starbucks .. and there isn’t even one in this town as far as I know. I told her no . . I’m not a Starbucks fan. We got to Joplin and she said she really “needed” to go by Starbucks. No! Still not a fan!  🙂

We went to J. C. Penney’s and got a sweatshirt and two pairs of pajamas. I saw the cutest unicorn pajamas and showed them to her. She didn’t seem to pay much attention but was more interested in other things so we went and checked out with the other two pairs of pajamas and the sweatshirt. We got in the car and I was already backing out of the parking spot and I asked her which pajamas she was going to wear first and she said “the unicorn ones!” Oops . . we didn’t get the unicorn ones. I explained that to her and she said she really wanted them so we went back into Penney’s and got them.

Today was our big shopping day . . pajamas and Toys R Us. Not sure what we’re going to do the rest of my time here but I’m betting we find something to do. Nicole is off Saturday and Sunday and Chad works. Then Nicole works Monday – Thursday next week and Chad is off Monday and Thursday so I really only have Tuesday and Wednesday with her by myself.
