Yesterday morning in was out enjoying the peace and quiet and the view.
A blue heron had just landed across the bayou and I was trying to get a picture.
I never could get a good picture of the blue heron but then I looked down the bayou and saw what I thought was an alligator.
See it? It looks just like an alligator but it was some kind of debris. Around the bayous, we always have to be on the watch for gators — just like at home we always have to be on the watch for snakes.

it looks like one to me and I have seen quite a few in our travels over the years and one near home at a walking trail that goes through a swampy area

We thought we had an armadillo in the garden one day; turned out to be a rock and a stick!

I can “feel” the south through those photos Judy! And it’s always something isn’t it!! The other day when the phone man was here we found this HUGE, ugly, dead critter in the room where he was working. Of course I shrieked and said, “what is THAT???” The phone man laughed and said–vingeroon–harmless but oh my was that thing ugly! Hope I never run into a live one!!!
