It seems to be this way with quite a few things — i don’t miss them til i no longer have them. I guess that proves the old saying “You dont miss the water til the well runs dry” is true. When I lived here for so many years, I dreaded the rainy days. In my high school and college days, when it seemed so many activities centered around the weather being nice, I would have sworn it rained every day. Maybe living where it never rains is the curse for having so often wished the rain would go away.
Yesterday I went to the grocery store and had not even noticed the clouds til i got out of the car. Nowadays I love the rainand miss it so much. If I lived here, I might get tired of it but I think remembering having no rain for so long will make me always appreciate rain, assuming it doesn’t amount to flooding, destructive rain.
It never rained on us yesterday but I’ll bet some parts of town got a good shower.

I often long for rain in those hot, dry Montana summers and I for sure wish it would rain occasionally when we are in Arizona for the winter!

I love a good thunderstorm, but any more it seems that it comes with hail & strong winds so it’s a bit of a double edged sword.
