UPDATE: My friend and I sewed most of the day and we got Valentine’s Day skirts and shirts made for our granddaughters!
I’m sewing but not quilting but I’m counting it as a success because I’m sewing with my friend and we’re having fun and making something.
We’re working on skirts for our granddaughters, who are 2 or 3 weeks apart in age. My friend had found some adorable skirt patterns/ideas on Pinterest and she bought some cute, girly fabrics for both of us. She came over this morning at 8:30, and we started by looking at the patterns/ideas she had found. We decided we needed some buttons so we ran to Walmart, and by the sewing shop here. We were on a mission so we were quick .. got back home and started sewing.
We’ll have our skirts finished this afternoon so I’ll come back and update this post with pictures.
How are you doing with your projects? Please share a link here so we can all see your progress and cheer you on!

So very cute! I am sure both girls will love them! And it sounds like you are once again enjoying sewing. I have taken years off a few times too…I think most of us have.

I have been sewing but not quilting, too. I have been making pillowcases. I missed the pillowcase madness of a couple of years ago but I am enjoying this new to me project. Love your skirts. Don’t have girls to sew for, thank goodness.
