The more I dig and the more yarn I uncover, the harder it is to make decisions. So many options! Yarn is really fun to play with even if you aren’t knitting!
At one point yesterday, I thought for sure this was the combination I was going to use.
I wound the yarn into cakes.
But I kept coming across other choices that might work better.
Sometimes it’s just easier to let Boots stay in the picture than to try to move him.
The black/gray in the middle of the back row .. I’m pretty sure about those. I tried the blueish green (between the blue and the peach), which is called Mineral, and I like it but it doesn’t really thrill me. The pink next to the black is good but I want to do Lilli Pilli in pink and black. I like the bright pink next to the gray but I keep telling myself that’s a little bright for a granny. I tried the peach (Grapefruit) in front of the bright pink and I liked it but then I came across Tomato on the far right and I really like it. My high school colors are orange and black so I think I’m going with that combo.
The navy and gold on the far left .. that’s for a different project. That’s a total of 11 skeins of yarn wound. Yes . . my arm was tired! But, there’s an ESK badge for winding 10 skeins so . . I earned that one yesterday.
I hope the next time you hear from me, the binding will be done on Vince’s quilt. No more playing with yarn til that is done.

I changed my mind too (and the project). Had my yarn and pattern all chosen for ESK 1st KAL and then decided since the yarn I was using was 50% silk – I should save that for the second KAL. I’m trying to do all the KALs from stash and I think I can do it now that I switched projects/yarn for the first KAL.
Love your color combination.

Your last one is a nice combination, but I liked your first one better. LOL Good thing you aren’t making it for me, right? =)

Hope your yarn swift is electric! That’s lots of winding.
